Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan formerly School of Hygiene, which was established on 1st April, 1933 as the first institution in Nigeria for the training of middle-level health manpower required for Primary Healthcare service was upgraded to a tertiary institution vide Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology Law, 2014, gazetted on 26 May, 2016 (No. 6, Vol. 41).

In upgrading the College, a Satellite Campus was also established at Okeho, Kajola Local Government in Oyo North Senatorial Zone of the State which took off on 16th November, 2015.
